In the analysis of ship’s structure fatigue strength finite element method, one of the research topic of many scholars is the parallel computing to improve the computational efficiency, the finite element analysis software has been widely used in the field of engineering design. As for large and super large complex engineering problems, with the restricted by the CPU calculation speed and limited storage space, it is difficult to meet the simulation efficiency, and even some of the scale is too large to calculating. The development of high performance computing has become an effective method to solve the large scale engineering calculation and analysis. In this paper, through the study of parallel finite element calculation and, combined with the supercomputer, to establish an available ship’s structure fatigue strength finite element analysis of parallel computing platform based on the open source finite element solver. This paper analyzes the status of open source finite element solver and the software and hardware system environment of the supercomputer. Through the reconstruction of the open source finite element solver base on Message Passing Interface, making it suitable for the parallel compute environment of high performance computing, then establish a FEM analysis system. With domain decomposition parallel algorithm and parallel computing strategy, an efficient and rapid technological path was explored out. The programming method is mainly C and MPI. In order to preferably realize the parallel computing, the open source parallel solution library is added. Combined with the load balancing and optimization of the parallel analysis system. A ship fatigue strength parallel computation analysis platform is established, and construct the remote interactive platform by C/S mode. The practical testing examples and results show that the parallel mechanism greatly reduces the computation time.
