Research On The Protective Utilization Of Si-Li Mountain Sculptures And The Surrounding Environment

China has a long history and numbers of sculptures. The sculptures are a part of Chinese Culture which can not be ignored. But as time goes by, sculptures are destroyed by the environment and human factors. The damage is irreversible and reduced the sculptures’ historical and cultural value, research value, ornamental value. Some sculptures will disappear because they can’t get enough attention and protection.The Si-Li Mountain sculptures located in Dongping, Tai’an, Shandong province, China.There were more than 800 sculptures in ancient times, now there are more than 480 sculptures.The earliest one built in the Northern Qi Dynasty which has a history of more than 1500 years.The Si-Li Mountain sculptures is Important Historical Monuments under Special Preservation of Shandong province. The Si-Li Mountain sculptures were prosperous in the past. But now it is declined because of age-old, slowing economy, and the lack of effective protection measures. More than half of the sculptures and houses were destroyed. In addition, The Si-Li Mountain was digging because of the stone in 1940 s. After that, the Si-Li Mountain was unstable and has frequent disastrous such as landslides, soil erosion and ecological destruction.If this situation goes on, the Si-Li Mountain will lose precious historical heritage and cultural connotation. If this development, the Si-Li Mountain sculptures will lose the value and charm. It will be very regretful. This article focus on solving the Si-Li Mountain sculptures protection and development outstanding problems by spot investigation, theoretical study and putting forward the strategy. By this way, the Si-Li Mountain sculptures will be a new style.Spot investigation means studying situation of the Si-Li Mountain sculptures.Understanding the government and people’s demand about the Si-Li Mountain sculptures’ protection and development. Theoretical study means reading excellent article and case. By this way, put forward a basic method which the limestone sculptures can be repair effectively.Putting forward the strategy means changing theory to practice. By spot investigation,accurate data about the Si-Li Mountain will be gotten. Secondly, the outstanding problems and contradictions about the protection and development of the Si-Li Mountain sculptures will be found by analyzing different date and pictures. The outstanding problems are sculptures broken, the old building, the damaged mountain, restoring vegetation andconstruction water system. In addition,the Si-Li Mountain can be developed reasonably for more and more people understand the culture of Si-Li Mountain. By this way, the economy of Si-Li Mountain will be enhanced. The article puts forward available suggestions about how to solve these outstanding problems. Put forward the design idea as mainly of protection,modification, culture and as secondary of development, transformation, landscape and made a clear design.
