Shaped columns structure system of reinforced concrete is a new structure of Chineseconstruction engineering field, which increases the effective use of its interior space, whichkeep the edge column of house does not appear, etc. welcomed by the majority ofhouseholds, which plays an important role in the development of China’s future residentialsystem. But the defects of joints weak of shaped column frame directly limits the heightand promoting the use of the shaped column structure. For the weak joints problems ofshaped reinforced concrete columns frame, this paper presents that setting up CRC in thecore area of the joint to strengthen the weak parts, then research the reinforcing effect ofsteel on joints through experimental study and nonlinear finite element analysis, whichprovides experimental and theoretical research basis for the further promotion andapplication of shaped column frame structure.This paper designs a low cyclic loading test of shaped column joints which containssix specimens (three edge joints, three joints), using two kinds of enhanced program whichin the form of T-shaped and groove steel, comparing and analyzing the test results inmechanical behavior of failure characteristics, steel bar and SRC strain etc, in seismicperformance of carrying capacity, deformation capacity and ductility, hysteresis loop,stiffness degradation, energy dissipation capacity, cumulative damage etc. The resultsshowed that: Setting up SRC can reduce the crack width on the core area of the joint,improve the failure characteristics of joint, delay the stress of stirrups in core, improve thebearing capacity and displacement of specimen in a greater degree of, effectively improveductility, stiffness degradation and energy dissipation capacity. Setting up SRC caneffectively improve the mechanical properties of the joint, can improve seismicperformance indicators of specimen in a greater degree.This paper carried nonlinear numerical simulation tests with ANSYS finite elementanalysis software, showed that finite element simulation results are basically consistentwith experimental results, show that the test results were better verified, and complementedthe study which test failed to research. The finite element analysis results showed that: SRCdirect participated the joint core force through played a role in strength. The core concreteconformed diagonal strut mechanism in SRC reinforced joints. SRC improved thecompressive strength of core concrete.
