Steel Reinforced Concrete (SRC) of Special-shaped Column is the combination of Special-shaped Column and SRC Structure. It has broad application prospects due to the high bearing capacity, seismic performance and the avoidance of column ridges. At present, there are few researches on the structure of SRC Columns, and the research about special-shaped column joint requires for further study in the future.Being the connection hub of columns and beams, the reliability of structure joints is the basis for the well functioning of the entire structure. In this paper, 9 T-shaped SRC frame joints were tested by low cyclic loading experiment to shed light on the anti-seismic property of T-shaped SRC frame joints. Some other effecting factors like compressive strength of concrete, axial-compression ratio, forms of steel configuration and hight-width ratio of column sections were studied as well so as to analyze their implication on both of the plasticity and bearing capacity of T-shaped joints. Generally, by investigating the accumulation and evolution process of inferior damage upon T-shaped joints, the anti-shearing mechanism is integrated to put forward several down-to-earth mathematic equations, by which the core area bearing capacity of anti-crack, anti-shearing as well as anti-torsion can be acquired in terms of the differences in steel configuration and loading direction undertaken by SRC T-shaped joints.Any acquired results in this paper paved down the foundation for the further understanding on the loading mechanism, damage process, configuration formats and anti-seismic property of SRC special-shaped frame joints. They also provided certain references for the fulfillment of calculation theories about the bearing capacity of SRC T-shaped frame joints under anti-crack, anti-shearing as well as anti-torsion circumstances. It is expected to promote the furture application of SRC special-shaped colomn structures.
