In recent years, with the modern buildings built and the widespread use of electronic,more and more researchers pay attention to lightning protection. Lightning protectiondesign in modern buildings usually used the steel fabric to form the cage nets. When thebuilding is struck by lightning, lightning transient process in the steel structure wouldproduce rapidly changing magnetic field and spark a high electromotive force in electricalequipment, which will affect and even damage electrical equipment. Therefore, the analysisof electromagnetic transient effect on the building steel structure is particularly important.The distribution of indoor induced magnetic field has a great influence on the lightningprotection of buildings and electrical equipment. According to the distribution of magneticfield strength, the electronic device could set at a location where can ensure its properoperation to ensure its proper operation.MATLAB software is used as a tool to simulate and calculate the lightning currentdistribution on the building architecture and the indoor magnetic field. he comparison withtypical examples verifies the correctness of this programming.The following work is mainly completed in this thesis:1. Based on the three known lightning current models, this thesis simulated, comparedand combined with the advantages and disadvantages of three current models to match anew lightning current model, then using MATLAB to compile corresponding programs.2. The electrical parameters of symmetric and asymmetric steel structure are solved byMATLAB programs. And the variation trend of the results is analyzed. Then according tothe electrical parameters, the simulation of lightning current distribution in steel structuresis completed. The results are used to solve the lightning current analysis formula of eachconductor.3. According to the magnetic field distribution equation and the metal structure model,the distributions of magnetic field inside the building are calculated by MATLAB software.The distribution of magnetic field strength at different heights and different positions is alsocalculated. The results provide a theoretical basis for planning the location of electronicequipment and the corresponding protection measures.
