This paper studies the causes and background of domestic natural bitumen, a detailedintroduction to the application of more domestic and two two natural asphalt: Trinidad LakeAsphalt and Indonesia’s Buton rock asphalt, and selected two natural asphalt as the objectof this study, the use of comparative analysis, and then from natural bitumen and asphaltcompatibility, natural asphalt mixture ratio optimization of design and other aspects of roadperformance launched a more comprehensive experimental study, combined with the DengHenan highway project, the practical application of modified asphalt lake to verify.1.In the analysis of the compatibility of asphalt, the use of penetration system and PGgrading system for different blending ratio of the natural way for a more in-depth asphaltstudy, results showed that after mixing natural asphalt can significantly improve the asphaltanti-aging properties and high temperature performance, penetration, softening point,viscosity has greatly improved, PG graded asphalt temperature rating of at least one grade.2.After mixing natural asphalt, although significantly improved high-temperatureperformance, but its low level of performance affected to some extent, so when usingnatural asphalt, should be particularly concerned about the use of ambient temperature andregional blending ratio of the larger than content, road with the better, and to determine theproportion of natural asphalt blending should not be greater than25%.3.By using GTM rotary shear method, carried AC-20type and proportions of thedifferent blending natural modified asphalt mix design results found naturally modifiedasphalt mixture has better resistance to deformation and shear capacity, and hightemperature stability better, and have more workability and excellent compactioncharacteristics.4.The ordinary asphalt, dynamic stability of SBS modified asphalt mixture and mixedwith different proportions of natural way modified asphalt mixture, residual stability,freeze-thaw splitting strength and low bending test results meet the specifications indicator.5.NeiDeng highway project by Henan Province,25%of internal mixed asphaltmodified asphalt lake validate physical engineering, design and construction with the composition of the scene than the quality indicators are close to or exceed the standard SBSmodified bitumen, and Lake bitumen modified asphalt mixture performance requirementsand construction effects performed well. And proposed construction techniques andmethods of natural modified asphalt mixture.
