Since Tuned Liquid Damper (TLD) has been applied on architectural structure from1980s, it has achieved good result on high rise structure. However, due to the complexityof the seismic response, the study on that is not perfect. That is to say, there are stillmany problems to solve.Based on the predecessors’ calculation and deduction, mainly through the theory offluid dynamics and sloshing dynamics, this article continues improving the calculationformula of dynamic water pressure for deepwater rectangular TLD. Finally, we concludethe law of interaction between water tan and structure as a kind of nonlinear andmulti-parameter-controlled Quasi-Solidification unit.The main research content is that obtaining the formula of dynamic water pressure,we use the language of Fortran in Intel Visual Studio to compile it. Furthermore, wecalculate separately under the effect of sinusoidal excitation and several kinds of seismicexcitation, and compare the result we get and the one after using simplified model andABAQUS simulation calculation.Conclusions of the study shows: After compiling lumped-mass method in Fortranand both comparing and testing of two results, I can get the point that the difference isless than11.4%under the effect of sinusoidal excitation and that the difference is lessthan8.35%under the effect of3kinds of seismic excitation. Meanwhile, I succeed tobuild the deepwater rectangular TLD model with ABAQUS and both compare and testthe result from the formula, then I can come to de conclusion that due to the energyaccumulation in the process of simulation model calculation, the largest difference of thetwo results is9.6%while the largest difference under3kinds of seismic excitation is10.3%.Therefore, I can get the conclusion that accuracy of the formula is higher aftercompiling, which can be the subroutine of Quasi-Solidification unit to be implanted in the corresponding finite element software and applied in the construction.
