| Design major in universities, such as architecture design, industry design and soon, is unique in the studying methods and the space need. The learning efficiency ofstudents who major in design areas is tightly related to the quality of the place wherethey academically work, cooperate and communicate. This research takessix typicaldesign schools in China for example: School of Architecture and School of Art inTsinghua University, School of Architecture and school of Design in China CentralAcademy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Architecture in Hong Kong University, School ofArchitecture in Chinese University of Hong Kong. The author made investigationinto design students’ study and communication behavior and their preference, andmade real-time survey and evaluation about their major intercourse places. Thethesis, on one hand, made summary of the common trend and the different aspects ofdesign learning behavior in various behavior settings, in order to figure behaviormode and space mode of design major. On the other hand, according to the researchcomments of the above six schools, it would make further discussion about the effectof communication behavior onthe space mode of design schools’ academic building,and the influence of intercourse space on improving teaching mode. |
