Street is the framework of the city, which loads the whole space of the city. Thequality of urban life depends on the space of street which is the foundation of the cityspaces. Meanwhile, the space of street is a window that display the urban environment,or as the card of the city. As the city expanding quickly, people concern more about thequality of space of the street. The urban design confront the appeal which is of theenhancement of the quality of space.The space layout of morden city developed nearly a centry. With the city growingand increasingly problems people repeatly revise the theories of city layout. Under thebackdrop that the cities of China expand heavily, there emerges a slice of new appealsof city. The context which is based on the layout of Zhongzhou Road in the newdistrict of Yanshi summerize the new problems faced in the process of primary design.Firstly, in the dissertation analyze the theories which instruct the layout and theadaption of theories. By the analysis of the theories to locate the quality of space andstarting point of the layout. Secondly, by the study on the location, resource,composition, planning and development orientation to confirm city positioning andlayout requirements. These means the dualism of the Zhongzhou Road, in one facet,which requires to present the solon character as the composition of the administrationdistrict and, in the other facet, the humanization and complication of the road which isthe core part of Landscape garden city. With the comparison of different project andthe study of the theory, put forward a program concluding the space and landscapedesign, which solve the city problems. It provide experience and example for thefollowing city construction in rapidly enhanced step of China.
