As the development of civil aviation, quantity of airport construction, navigationflights, passenger throughput increasing year by year, and with the improvement ofliving standard, diversified demands of passengers,all of these make thecommercialization has become the trend of airport construction and development. Butfor the airport business development in China starting relatively late, lacking ofexperience in the development, with Europe and the United States is a big gap betweenthe advanced hub airport business development.In this paper, on the basis of existing theory, focusing on the research of internalcommercial space design; By analyzing and summary the influence factors and basicdesign principle,combined with field research and engineering case,summing up theexisting problems in the development of terminal commercial space, the final terminalinternal commercial space design principles and strategies are put forward.First of all, analyse the basic theory and basic principle which influence terminalcommercial space design, it will be the theoretical basis of the terminal commercialspace design; Secondly, Through the analysis on the foreign representative terminalcommercial space and the field investigation into domestic terminal and commercialspace, from which summed up the essentials of modern internal terminal commercial space and the blind spots exist of design in present stage. Combined with the recentlycompleted project in T3A terminal building of Xi’an Xianyang International Airportterminal commercial space,through the preliminary planning, layout forms, commercialspace design, etc., to analyse the design of T3A terminal commercial space, tosummarize problems reflect in the design, summarizes the design experience. Based onthe above analysis, finally this research presents the design strategies of terminalinternal business, that is accurate industry condition localization andmatching,reasonable spatial layout method, diversified design of space form, effectiveconstruction of space recognition system, the overall environmental quality which canenhance the space.This paper aims to put forward a design method of the internal terminal whichcan keep commercial space scientific、appropriate and humanized,and increase theairport non aviation income, improve terminal commercial value and the overallimage,increase the international competitiveness of terminal.
