The development of the high-rise building in our country has been quite popularand playing an increasingly important role, including that the application of reinforcedconcrete shear wall structure is more extensive. But the traditional reinforced concreteshear wall structure is facing a new problem, Shear wall structure is expected to havenot only a good overall seismic performance but also the use of large space and flexiblelayout. Due to traditional shear wall structure can’t have all of the previous advantagesat the same time, so people pay attention to seeking a new form of shear wall structure.Following the domestic and overseas researches on shear wall structure, to solveabove problems, this article studies the seismic performance of the three-dimensionalstaggered tubular shear wall structure. This new structure have not only a good overallseismic performance, but also overcome many shortcomings of the traditionalreinforced concrete shear wall structure, which includes overweight, large cut weightratio, the use of large space and flexible layout. In order to consider the spatial effect ofshear wall, based on a practical engineering in Xi’an, this paper uses PKPM software toestablish both new and traditional type of shear wall model and preliminarily try tocalculate structure scheme, then the above structure scheme is used to the modelestablished by SAP2000, comparing two corresponding software calculation results. Then the corresponding structure model is analyzed using methods including modalanalysis, earthquake response spectrum and dynamic time history subjected to frequently occurred earthquake. Based on the results of the analysis, the analysis mainlyincludes dynamic characteristics of two kinds of structure model, lateral and torsionalrigidity, maximum floor shear force and bending moment comparing the maximumfloor displacement and internal force analysis, then points out the advantage of the newtype of staggered tubular shear wall structure on seismic performance compared withthe traditional shear wall. Related conclusion of this article can be used for the practicalapplication of the staggered tubular shear wall structure and supporting some relevantspecifications.
