In space optical system, image display and generation can be influenced by variousfactors such as stray light, space distance, orbit parameters and so on. To acquire accurateand clear image, these factors should be considered. Before acquiring the real image,simulation is necessary. Through comparing the simulated image with the real one,accuracy can be proved. This paper focuses on building a three-dimensional (3D) model ofa target satellite and simulating the real image of the target spacecraft according to theposition and distance between the docking spacecraft and the target spacecraft. The2Dimages of the target satellite should be acquired in specific positions and postures from asensor camera on the docking spacecraft.3D Studio Max is the software used in the processto build models, simulate and generate images in the paper. It is a3D computer graphicsprogram for making3D animations, models, and images. Also in the paper, stray lightanalysis and calculation software Tracepro is used to simulate and analyze the real image ofthe rendezvous and docking laser radar, and calculate the corresponding energy. In Tracepro,first we build models of target satellite, light source and receiving surface considering threeconsequences,50m,20km and2km. Then we trace the rays. Finally we get the irradiancemap and analyze the stray light of the satellite surface.
