In order to alleviate the increasingly serious traffic problemsShanghai government is committed to the construction of the tunnel andoverhead. With the development of science and technology, modernscience and technology is widely used in the monitoring system in tunnel.The structure of modern equipment becomes more and more complex.The function is more complete and increasingly automatic. Because ofmany influencial factors are not always avoidable. Thereby themalfunction will reduce or lose the effect of intended function, evencausing serious accidents.The traditional means of maintenance often causes huge waste ofresources, and bring significant operating risks for no maintenancestrategy. To ensure more effective maintenance, proposed the use ofReliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) as a maintenance strategyconcept. First of all, the system can identify the cause, the type and thecycle of the equipment failure by means of analyzing the fault of eachkind of equipment in the tunnel. Through the data the system canestablish the plan library. Then, according to the environmental situationand the running status of equipment, the system will compare with planlibrary and choose an optimized repair method. After optimizationstrategy decision, the system will make an equipment maintenance planby RCM decision. And then, the system will give a maintenance strategyby man-machine interface, in order to improve the maintenanceefficiency and reduce economic loss. Finally, after maintenance or repair,the staff will input relevant information in time by friendly man-machineinterface to ensure that the judging parameters are consistent with theactual situation after the maintenance strategy formulation to Enhance theaccuracy in maintenance strategy.After the introduction of RCM, the engineer of the operating unitcan regularly repair the device mostly failure or replace the failure partsby the established maintenance strategy. That can greatly reducepersonnel and waste of resources. Meanwhile, the software can analyzethe failure frequency automatically. According to the results of theanalysis,the system can generate the maintenance strategy automatically that can greatly increase the maintenance efficiency. After generating theoptimal maintenance strategy,the system can dispatch the operations staffelectronic based on GIS system software. Paperless office of this kind ismore according with the demand of the digital age. The use of RCManalysis method for in Nanjing tunnel operations management greatlyreduce the operational costs. The number of operating maintenancepersonnel was reduced by20%, and the operation and maintenance costwas reduced by10%.It brings huge economic benefits.
