As the hydraulic power units, hydraulic pump occupies an important position inthe hydraulic system whose performance has a great influence on the system,whether the pump can work normally involves whether the hydraulic system canmeet the designing and working requirement. Therefore, it is very important to testthe pump performance accurately and the hydraulic workers have been paying greatattention to the design and development of the pump performance test-bed for a longtime.At present, the development trend of the hydraulic system is high pressure, highspeed, large flow and high power. So, to develop a high power pump performancetest-bed with a certain test accuracy and automation degree is very important. Thispaper designs a high power pump performance test-bed based on power recovery bycomparing the schemes and demonstrating the theories after referring to relateddocuments at home and abroad and surveying some domestic experimentequipments of the pump test-bed. The whole test-bed consists of power-drivensystem, hydraulic control system, filter and temperature-control system, oil recoversystem and measuring and controlling system. In the power-driven system, thebiaxial electromotor brings the tested pump rotating and outputting oil to supplymotive power for the test-bed and the electromotor speed is regulated by thetransducer; The hydraulic control system adopts the method of mechanicalcompensation power recovery: the output oil of the power-driven system drives thehydraulic motor which is joined with the input axis of the electromotor to convertsthe recovery hydraulic power into mechanical energy to realize power recovery. Asto the pressure loading, we use overflow valves combined with a proportionalpressure relief valve to realize manual stepped pressure regulation and automaticloading. In the flow measurement, two flowmeters with different capacity are set toimprove the testing accuracy; In the filter and temperature-control system, thepumping set drives the oil through the rough and pure filters to make two-stagefiltration and the oil coolers to cool off the oil; The oil recover system picks up theleakage oil to the main tank for recycling; In the design process of the measuring and controlling system, we conclude the test parameters, control signals and monitoringstates, design the electric circuit and select suitable data acquisition equipment,then, use NI virtual instruments of complete sets to build the measuring andcontrolling system. The soft part uses LabVIEW software to develop the pumpperformance test platform and make modularization design in the test soft accordingto the test items, which realize systems operation, signal acquisition, data processing,data output, curve plotting in the test.The renovation in this subject is to develop a200kW high power pumpperformance test-bed adopting power recovery on which the test procedure can beautomatic and intelligent. While considering reducing the energy loss, we combine itwith the technology of virtual instrument, measurement and computer controlling toimprove the test accuracy and efficiency of the test-bed. The research findings have agood industrial application value.
