Frame-shear wall structure has both advantages of the frame structure and shearwall structure in that the frame structure bears the vertical loads, while the shear wallstructure bears the horizontal loads, and it is widely used in high-rise buildings.In earthquake area, if the rigidity of shear wall choosed is slightly, it cannotreach the goal that resist horizontal earthquake function: If increases the rigidity, thenthe earthquake function possible to enlarge correspondingly. After all, there is a issuethat how to confirm the rigidity of shear wall. If the rigidity can satisfy the standardabout the displacement limiting value and the component ductility, and causesquantity of shearing force wall smallest, the rigidity is an optimum value.In this paper, the further research was conducted based on the existing frame-shear wall structure seismic performance research. The concept of frame-shear wallstructure design, classification method and optimization method were studied.The shear wall rigidity determined by the rigidity characteristic value of structure,in situation that section size of beam and column and shear stiffness basic determined.This paper infers the best rigidity expression of shear wall based on the limited valuethe structure apex. A case study applied direct this method for a engineering project,and this optimization method verified by PKPM could reasonably determine thestiffness and the number of shear wall.
