As the environmental pollution and energy crisis increasing, the use of cleanenergy gets more and more attention, proton exchange membrane fuel cell as a typicalrepresentative of clean energy has a broad application prospects. Temperature is a keyfactor affecting the performance of fuel cell, and the best working temperature offuel cell is between60℃and80℃, a good temperature control system is veryimportant for the fuel cell performance. In this thesis, the author developed theresearch on temperature control system to improve the performance of the fuel cell,proposed temperature control system program of fuel cell, the main contents are asfollows:By analyzing of temperature affecting on fuel cell performance and discussingthe factors affecting the temperature of fuel cell, the thesis proposed temperaturecontrol system program of fuel cell and designed a fuel cell temperature controlsystem of dual circulation loop whose core was PLC, analyzed of the fuel celltemperature control system working mechanism of the inner circulation loop andouter circulation loop.In order to realize accurate temperature control of the fuel cell, first of all, theauthor established the thermodynamic mathematical model of the fuel cell, and thenestablished mathematical models of the components in inner circulation loop andouter circulation loop, which could affect the temperature of the fuel cell, finally,established the control system mathematical models under the two cases oftemperature rising and temperature keeping.The thesis proposed the fuel cell stack temperature control strategy which isbased on fuzzy PID control algorithm and fuzzy control for the inner circulation loopand outer circulation loop,introduced two control components in the system controlalgorithm design process combined with the mathematical model, the system wassimulated.Designed a fuel cell temperature control system’s main control program based onthe PLC controller, introduced the work process of the master device and the slavedevice in modbus communication, described the implementation process of fuzzy PID algorithm in the PLC controller, completed the design of the control system offuel cell temperature.The fuel cell temperature control system was applied to the fuel cell test system,by analyzing the experimental results, the experimental results and the simulationresults are basically consistent, and the control strategy is effective.
