Abstract/Summary:
With oil resources consumption and prices rising, people are actively looking foralternative fuel of ship diesel engine, It become a common concern. The maincomposition of liquefied natural gas (LNG) is methane (CH4), it is a very cleanenergy and high thermal efficiency fuel. Diesel/LNG dual fuel engine generally refersto diesel engines, which uses natural gas and diesel oil as its fuel, it can get rid ofdisadvantages of Marine diesel engine high emissions NOx and SOx, making the shipengine in the process of the entire voyage, which especially in the area of ECAs,almost smokeless sailing conditions, thus the dual fuel engine has a gooddevelopment prospect.Liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a very mature fuel gas source, it is a reliablesource, production technology is feasible and easy to store and transport, it has a highcalorific value, stronger antiknock performance, the advantages of low emissionsmakes it an ideal alternative fuel for ship diesel engine. Ship diesel engine just bysimple mechanical modification for dual fuel engine gas supply mode, there are a lotof problems in use, it can not make full use of the gas fuel and combustioncharacteristic of physical and chemical properties, then it will make economy andpower performance of the dual fuel engine cann’t meet the original diesel enginelevel. While using electronic control technology, especially electronic jet technologyand electronic control fuel injection technology, it will completely solve the dual fuelengine power performance, thermal efficiency, replacement rate and emissions andother issues. Make its maximum full use of diesel and LNG mixed combustion of thephysical and chemical characteristics, to achieve the best efficiency, performance andemissions.In this paper, I do have the following several aspects:(1) The design of gas supply system and design of the diesel engine refitted.(2) Electronic control unit (ECU) of the overall architecture planning,establishment of input and output protocol.(3) The design of the electronic control unit hardware and software, it mainlyincludes the circuit design, selection of painting and making board, electroniccomponents and each unit module program writing. (4) Electronic control unit simulative debugging of input and output signalmeasurement.(5) The injection valve calibration experiment and injection amount of numericalanalysis.(6) Bench experiment LNG gas supply system, electronic injection valve,electronic control system, all kinds of sensor equipment installation and debugging(7) Dual fuel engine bench test, through the bench test to verify the feasibility ofthe electronic control unit ECU and dual fuel engine performance parameters.Through simulation experiment, debug and test bench and results analysis can beobtained, the electronic control unit ECU system can be used for LNG injectionquantity control of dual fuel engine, and can accurately distinguish the operationcondition of the engine and LNG injection time and injection volume, the set ofelectronic control unit ECU system has very strong practicability and economic value.
