Reinforced concrete rigid-frame arch bridge was put forward by ChinaAcademy of Transportation Sciences first in our country.The first reinforcedconcrete rigid-frame arch bridge was built in wuxi, jiangsu province1978.Rigid-frame arch bridge Integrate the characteristics of double curvaturearch,trussed arch,ribbed arch and slant legged rigid-frame bridge,It belongs to highorder statically indeterminate structure with horizontal thrust,mainly composed ofrigid-frame arch, cross beam, bridge panel and substruction.Rigid-frame arch bridgewas propagated widely in our country with the advantages of light weight, goodmechanical performance, cost cheap, beautiful modeling. The finalize design ofreinforced concrete rigid-frame arch bridge1983prompt the more widelypropagation in our country.Rigid-frame arch bridge have some disease in the processof service, affect the normal use of the bridge.Some rigid-frame arch bridgesbecame dangerous bridges which built only more than ten years.The generation ofdisease on rigid-frame arch bridge is various. Bridge design code and calculationtheory updates may cause diseases;Bridge construction quality and poormanagement can also cause diseases;Environmental effect and time accumulationcause diseases.We need to view the existence of rigid-frame arch bridge diseasescorrectly, rational analysis the causes of diseases, understand the performance ofrigid-frame arch bridge in service use.Try our best to continue its service life,Andoptimize the structure of new built rigid-frame arch bridge according to the resultsof the analysis.This paper introduces the structure characteristics of rigid-frame arch bridgeand common diseases.With the objection of typical rigid-frame arch bridge,analysesthe performance of rigid-frame arch bridge in service in the theoretical view with thechange of bridge design code.The calculation analysis results show that the limitstate bearing capacity,crack width,bridge panel stress state can not meet therequirements.For a large number of rigid-frame arch bridge in service, this paperdetails the test method and process of performance.Use bridge construction technicalcondition evaluation method,evaluation method based on the design code and loadtest method evaluation the performance based on the site test results,then make acomprehensive evaluation based on three evaluation methods. The research in this paper provide common diseases of rigid-frame arch bridgewith theoretical basis.Help to have specific inspection and testing on rigid-framearch bridge,to confirm the severity of disease and its development trend,provide thereference for management,reinforcement and whether need to demolish rebuild ofrigid-frame arch bridge in service,and provide reference for structure optimization ofnew built rigid-frame arch bridge at the same time.
