In the switching process of Electromagnetic relay, the voltage and current based oncoil and contact reflect the electromagnetic mechanism, the spring system, the performanceof contact system and the reliability of machine. Therefore, based on the voltage andcurrent waveforms of the coil and contacts, it is important to research time characteristicsand electrical contact properties of electromagnetic relays for the reliability of switching.This paper studies the turning reliability of electromagnetic relay and failure predictionmethods.Firstly, study the electrical properties testing technology of the electromagnetic relay.Testing system includes hardware circuit design and the programming of software.Hardware circuit is consisted of the control circuit and acquisition circuit. The controlcircuit drives t coils of the electromagnetic relay. Acquisition circuit acquires the voltageand current waveforms of the contact and the coil. The testing system can measure voltageand current waveforms of the coil and contact in the process of turning.Secondly, study methods of the randomness and uncertainty on sequence informationanalysis. The normal cloud model is introduced to the research in the turning process of thereliability of electromagnetic relay. The parameters of Cloud describe the state of theelectromagnetic relay. Dimensional cloud analysis the electromagnetic relays among timeto bounce, vibration time, the static contact resistance and the dynamic resistance. Theresults show that the static contact resistance and bounce time can reflect the reliability ofthe relay.Finally, using the concept of gray system theory establish gray forecasting model topredict static contact resistance and time to bounce during the turning process of relays. Onthe basis of the theory of gray and clouds model, the paper proposed the prediction modelon gray clouds. It is the foundation for further follow-up studies.
