Due to the growing of bridge load and useful part of rust, damage or the originaldesign load standard limit, so the universal existence insufficiency of bridge bearingcapacity. With the increase of traffic volume, vehicle loading bridge bearing capacity isinsufficient contradiction is becoming more and more prominent. The throat of the bridge isto ensure that the roads, while the key is to bridge bearing capacity and traffic capacity, sothe bridge bearing capacity limit traffic capacity limit the bottleneck of traffic capacity. Soaccurately assess the actual bearing capacity of the bridge, and the choice of reasonable andeffective strengthening methods, from points to play bridge economic and social benefits,ensure the normal operation of the road traffic, is an urgent and important task.The route of this paper:1,the discussion of bridges at home and abroad presentsituation and the bridge detection, evaluation and reinforcement research status;2, to ourcountry related to introduce in detail the characteristics of the bridge, including bridgebuilding materials, construction technology and use fixed number of year;3, the commondiseases of steel bridge, and introduces the origin, and mechanism analysis of steelstructure plant disease;4, to the steel structure of bridge inspection contents and evaluationmethods are discussed, then the main methods of bridge reinforcement at home and abroad;5,Zhongshan bridge in Lanzhou as an example, introduce the test content, analyzes its maindiseases. According to the technical conditions of the test results of the bridge with scoringmethod for comprehensive evaluation; According to the design specification for assessmentof the bridge bearing capacity calculation, provide the basis for maintenance. From the loadtest results, analysis of actual bridge reinforcement effect; According to the results of thetest results, the load test, the finite element model, further on the critical section carryingcapacity evaluation, evaluation results before and after the reinforcement, verify therationality of the bridge reinforcement method.
