With the increasing demand of spacecraft mission, it is characterized by diversity andcomplexity. The spacecraft has always been influenced by complex space environment. With thecost of design and development is increasing, the on-board computer is becoming the center ofsatellite control and management system. More and more scientific research units at home andabroad focus their attentions on the reliability and safety of on-board computer. At the same time, the essential requirements of reliability and safety also needs to be met.On-board computer which is using fault-tolerant technology can improve the reliability offault tolerant computer. Triple modular redundancy(TMR) technology as the core of fault-toleranttechnology, can not only solve the single point of failure of dual redundancy technology, but alsocomplete the online repair system reconstruction. But because of the domestic on-board computersystem partly using TMR structure, there is still part of a single point of failure. Consequently, there remain needs to further enhance the reliability and safety of on-board computer.According to the practical requirements and index, this paper carried out a detailed study onthe TMR structure of on-board computer. The system’s all function modules use TMR, and itsstructure can help to effectively solve the problems of single point failure. Firstly, through theapplication needs, it sets the technical index. Then, the paper respectively describes relatedtechnologies, such as synchronization, interaction, voting and system reconstruction. There is thedetailed hardware and software implementation. It illustrates the realization method of thesynchronization and voting technologies. Finally, though the data of system and the high-lowtemperature, there is a comprehensive analysis and summary on the whole computer. It basicallycan meet the design requirements. The system also can be further optimized and improved.
