Research On Railway Container Station Designing&Siting Problem

Recently, the rapid development of railway industry in China has achieved greataccomplishment and attention worldwide. However, especially for the transportationof railway container, it still needs continuously systematic construction andimprovement. Specifically, there are many problems existing in the railwaytransportation field, which means that as a main mode to transport bulk commodity itsfunction has not been utilized sufficiently. Consequently, my research gapconcentrates on the development of railway container transportation and it has beenfound that there is a great potential to develop railway contain transportation and itsspecialized handling station.Based on the direction and flow of current railway container transportation, thispaper puts up with several methods to locate railway container specialized stationthrough lots of data analysis and on-site investigation. The case study will based inBeijing, and also it will investigate the designing of specialized container station andadoption of assemble machine.Theoretically, this paper can provide guidance on how to locate specializedrailway container station, what factors should be taken into consideration and how todeal with the relationship between logistic center and railway container station.Practically, this paper makes contribution on selecting the location of specializedrailway container station, designing station and choosing appropriate assemblemachine.
