In the production system operation, workshop layout improvement is particularlyimportant, it will be directly related to the material handling cost, the operation of theproduction system in the process of handling efficiency and production quality. Workshoplayout is good to the logistics cost, production quality, their physical and mental health have asignificant impact on.This paper first introduces the research background, significance and the main content,and the layout of the facility and the TOPSIS method of the present research situation at homeand abroad are reviewed, and the related theory of facility layout were described. Secondly,the B enterprise production workshop to carry out a detailed analysis of the existing layout,production process and finished product road map. In carries on the analysis to B enterpriseworkshop production factors, on this basis, on the relationship between logistics and theoperating units to non logistics relation and comprehensive relationship analysis; draw thelayout graph, combined with the actual production requirements for distribution andadjustment of the operation unit of area, put forward3improved layout scheme. Then,combined with the enterprise truth and reference to the large number of literature, theestablishment of workshop layout evaluation index system, the use of TOPSIS method toselect3improvement plan and the initial plan, select the optimal layout scheme. The layout ofthe program with the initial layout will finally selected from the comparative analysis of thelogistics and non logistics point of view, that the total logistics facility layout improvement instrength improvement after5.17%, and improved production workshop layout for the overallwork environment, transport efficiency, operation of compact and space utilization rate hasbeen effectively improved.
