As the process of urbanization quickens, it becomes a hot topic of expandingtransportation system that subway construction in order to solve the problem thatmetropolis with single ground transportation can’t supply the demand of citydevelopment. Xi’an is an ancient capital with many historic buildings distributed overthe city, the influence of subway building on historic buildings should not be ignored. This paper take Greater Wild Goose Pagoda as an object, with the background of Xi’anmetro line4, analysis the response of while it is shaken caused by the operation of thesubway in the background of. In the same time, analysis of computing result is handlingaccording to vibration control standard in the Technical specification for protection ofhistoric buildings against man-made vibration. The study will focus on:1.Computing the Load of subway applied to the roadbed, considering the influenceof contact force between irregularity amplitude orbit and the its relative wavelength,train-track-subgrade model is applied with the MatLab programming platform.2. Building and analyzing the Greater Wild Goose Pagoda model through the FEMsoftware ABAQUS. This process will test the reasonability of the model throughcomparing the computed result and the reality. The program will determine the dynamicparameters of site soil, with the condition of geological exploration data in the area ofthe Greater Wild Goose Pagoda and the relationship between loess shear wave velocityand compression wave velocity. This part of Research will also investigate the modelsize, element size, dynamic boundary, and the way to select damping characteristics.3. Considering the different situation and limitation of the research purpose, a three-dimensional model of soil and the Greater Wild Goose Pagoda is required todesign. Analyzing the dynamic action according to different situation including depth, speed and run mode that the metro train crossing the Greater Wild Goose Pagoda. TheResearch illustrated that:The response gap of stylobate of the Greater Wild GoosePagoda is relatively macro responding to vibration loads of different frequencycomponents;it is more distinct that the horizontal vibration respond than the verticalones and as growth of the high frequency components, the velocity amplitude reducesand the low ones increases that; under certain conditions, structural response caused bylow-speed operation is more obvious compared to high-speed operation; the differencebetween detour modes also cause different vibration response of the Greater WildGoose Pagoda, when metro bilateral bypass it at different speed, the vibration will bemagnified, and the impact of speed can be ignored.4. The phenomenon of subway vibrations leading to vibrations of the Greater WildGoose Pagoda was also discovered according to GB/T50452. And the reasonablesuggestions are presented, including the selection of metro line position of line4and themode of run.The research results can be provide a reference for route planning and culturalrelics protection of Xi’an Metro Line project feasibility studying.
