During transport, when corrugated packages are excited by vehicle vibration, the corrugated box stacking at the bottom maybe endure large dynamic load which will lead to box collapse. Based on this consideration, the nonlinear vibration mode of corrugated was developed in paper, and the reliability of the model was verified by a series of tests. The influence of fatigue vibration on corrugated properties was studied by testing, and a corrugated design method was developed in which the influence of vibration was considered.Mechanical properties of corrugated boxes 0201 on three different sizes have been studied by static and dynamic compression tests, and cubic nonlinear vibration model and equation of corrugated box was developed. The approximate analytical solution of equation was obtained by using harmonic balance method, and its accurate was verified by comparing with the numerical solution. Then, the frequency response function is introduced. The reliability of cubic nonlinear vibration equation was verified by testing of static compression, fixed frequency vibration and sweep frequency vibration and a method to recognize the unknown parameters of equation was developed. Nonlinear vibration characteristic of corrugated box was analyzed. The resonance frequency and maximal transmissibility of corrugated box grew as amplitude and nonlinear coefficient increased, or as damping coefficient decreased. The different transport vibration was substituted by fixed frequency vibration test with different time. The influence of fatigue vibration on corrugated properties was studied. After fatigue vibration, the height of corrugated boxes decreased, but it was not obvious. The compression strength increased, and the maximal amplitude was about 14%. The resonance frequency increased, and it was concentrated in 20Hz to 40Hz. The changes of maximal dynamic load were not obvious. Based on those studies, a corrugated design method was developed in which the influence of vibration was considered.
