With the national urbanization process is speeding up, more and more people constantlypour into cities in the expansion as disappeared nature. As more and more publicawareness of the natural environment, the natural process of urban development, whichhad been ignored in the past, gradually draws people’s attention. More and moreenvironmental builders begin to focus on seeking a viable natural building pathway inurban construction process to the future sustainable development of urban ecosystems. To the loess plateau region, which nature is ecologically fragile, natural habitat-sitesplanning with manual intervention in the city provides some possibilities. We couldconstruct safe urban ecosystems and improve regional natural conditions. From the point of view Landscape Planning and Design, against contradictions andopportunities between the fragile natural environment and the urgent development ofurban construction in the Loess Plateau, road green spaces in Haidong City in QinghaiProvince is selected as the paper research object. This paper will divide habitat-sitetypes of Urban Road green spaces and habitat-site planning mode for different types inthe typical natural landscape and urban development process of Haidong City. It willtake Landscape Ecology, landscape urbanism, Urban Ecology, road ecology and othertheoretical methods as methos’ guides, and have a series of research methods likeliterature review, status survey, statistical analysis, summarized, assumptions deductive, etc.Through the New City Haidong natural processes of inquiry, based Haidong Metrotypical characteristics of natural landscape, as well as the temporal and spatial evolutionof the urban pattern, paper analysis firstly the corridor network structure of the Urban Road in Haidong City. Based on corridor connectivity and network ring index paperanalysis quantitatively the ecological safety balance index of Urban Road green spacescorridor. Paper do the typed research on urban road green space habitats in HaidongCity according to the influence factors of urban road green space habitats and structuretype of the urban roads. According to the regional characteristics of urban plantcommunities in Haidong City, paper diagnosed local natural plants and plantcommunities in the urban road green space in the range of core region and establishedplant community structure which is suitable for the road green spaces in Haidong City.Paper done investigation and analysis over the former three levels, summarized theurban road green spaces habitats-site planning mode: planning concepts of habitatpriority construction of the road corridor network pattern, design method of striparea planning ways of multi-elements combinations, organizations of suitable plantscommunities manual interference and the natural acclimation. Finally, paper donesome empirical study to the San he six an district in Ledu, which is in the core area ofHaidong City, from the construction of the whole network structure based on road greenspaces corridor to the sample of a specific section of urban road green spaceshabitat-site planning, the feasibility and innovation of the Habitat-site Model of theUrban Road Green Spaces in Haidong City in Qinghai Province demonstratedsystematically. This work was financially supported by the Program of Natural Science Foundation ofChina "Studies on the Habitat-Site Modeling and during the Ecological Process of theUrbanization in Large and medium-sized North-Western "(No.51278410/E080202)and "Studies on adaptive design theory and methods of urban livable environmentlandscape micro climate"(No.51338007).
