| World Horticultural Exposition (referred to as the World Park) is the highest levelof professional International Fair. Since it was first held in Rotterdam, the Netherlandsin1960,there is now a total of31sessions of World Horticultural Exp held so far. Theexhibitions mainly display exotic flowers and horticulture of different countries while atthe same time new technologies and materials, different cultures and emotions also finda showing stage. The Exhibition may promote the economic and cultural development,and it also plays an important role in promoting the urban environment.Following the first International Horticultural Exposition held in Kunming in1999, there is a boom of bidding for hosting the exhibition in China because many citieswould like to take the platform to promote its economic development, improve theenvironment and shape the city’s image. However, design and research work of buildingexternal environment for the exhibition is still in an initial stage. Some related researchmainly focuses on the design of Exhibition Park, the park landscape planning,architectural design and other aspects of the exhibition.The external environment is toosimplistic in design and engineering. During the exhibition, the existence and use of theexhibition showing the effect of poor, fair and reasonable utilization and reform of thelatter phenomenon, related theories need to be explored.First of all, based on defining the related concepts and the research scope of theExternal environment of World Horticultural Expo Exhibition, this paper discusses theclassification and the characteristics of Horticultural Expo exhibition buildings, anddiscusses the elements and characteristics of International Horticultural Exhibition Building in the external environment, and also further explore the correlation betweenthe two features.Secondly, with the combination of field research and case studies, thispaper has summarizes the factors, organizational features and easy-to-overlook problemin the International Horticultural Exhibition Building environment design. Then thepaper presents the design goals and the design principles of thematic, regional, skillsand sustainable about the External environment of World Horticultural Expo Exhibition.Finally, according to the design principles and methods of strategies proposed above,wetake the Qingdao International Horticultural Expo Garden Cultural Center and outdoorenvironmental design practice as an example to elaborate. From the perspective ofenvironmental design orientation, the paper discusses it in detail from regional themeselection, theme ideas, gardening and outdoor environmental design and cultural centerof the vision of the three parts, to verify the feasibility of the design principles andmethods. At the same time, it try to make an attempt for the study of WorldHorticultural Exposition Exhibition Building Environment Design. |
