The Optimization Design Of Antenna Supports For PH37Type Diesel Locomotive

The antenna supports are the groups which are used to install and fix the antennasand insure the antennas can meet the running position requirements. Only if theantenna design can meet the installation requirements, the antennas could receive therailway signal and transfer correct information to the signal devices and then thelocomotive would run according to the signal command. So it is very important thatthe good design and good quality of antenna supports for locomotive. This willdetermine whether the locomotive could run according to the correct signal command.Since the type diversity and installation condition difference, there was littleapplication analysis for antenna supports abroad. The design process of antennasupport in complex condition was expounded in this paper through the platform ofnew developed PH37type light locomotive of “A” company. Firstly, it was figured outthat the antenna supports need to be installed on the bottom of the fuel tank and it alsocan’t affect the reliability of fuel tank according to the antenna installation requirementand locomotive structure characteristic. Secondly, in depth analysis for the structureand stress parameters of antenna support was made in this paper. At last the optimizedparameters were got from manual calculation and FEA result and the support couldmeet the static load, fatigue load and impact load requirements, these met designgoals.The achievement of this paper is that it contributed to the first unit locomotivewhich was on time delivered to customer and helped the company winning new ordersin Euro and Asia area. The quality forecast was made for product in the design phaseso that the product quality can be controlled, the redesign cost in manufacturing phaseand product batch use phase was reduced and the profit growth was made for companyat last.
