In this paper, taken a certain cutter body of channel cutting slope machine, the3-dmodel is established by utilizing of UG, simulate the cutter’s forces by using ADAMS, thefinite element model is established by using HyperMesh. And the finite element modelwere loaded which combined with ADAMS simulation results and actual loading conditionof cutter and make static and dynamic FEA on the structure of cutter body. Through theanalysis of the static loads and dynamic loads of the cutter body,determine the workprogram and the calculate the distribution situation of stress and displacement fields of thecutter body. In addition, make the dynamic analysis, calculate the free modal parameters(natural frequency and vibration model) of the support assembly of the cutter body.Finally,utilize the size optimization method which based on FEA to optimize the size of supportassembly of the cutter body which obtain static and dynamic character and provide a basisfor the production and promotion of channel cutting slope machine.The analyzed result shows that the strength and stiffness of the cutter body all meet thedesign requirements. Meanwhile, after size optimization, the mass of cutter body is reduced570kg, the weight is decreased26.3%. It is not only reducing the mass of the cutter bodyand achieving good economic benefits but also building the foundation for the developmentof a reasonable, lightweight of channel cutting slope machine structure.
