| As the main regional economic route, Pingquan-Chengde section project, is an importantpart of the national planning "Changchun-Shenzhen" highway, which conforms to thehighway layout planning "five verticals, six horizontals and seven lines" in Hebei provinceand the road network layout "a ring of eight shots" in Chengde city. The construction of thisproject is an inevitably choice that aims to perfect the key national highway networkplanning, constitute important traffic channel between north and northeast of China, andimprove the regional traffic conditions, drive economic development of the northeast ofHebei province especially Chengde.This paper started with the socio-economic status, transportation status quo of theaffected area, development planning, mainly related highway adaptability and thefunctional orientation of this project, and further studied the necessity of this project. Athorough and meticulous investigation and study was carried on about the traffic conditionsof the engineering areas. The traffic volume of this project was scientifically forecasted.The landform, engineering geological and hydrogeological conditions, unfavorable geology,special geological conditions, and environmental implication were all considered in thestudy of the engineering construction conditions and the influencing factors.In view of thethree presupposed route plans A, B and C, this paper studied the starting point of the route,the proposed project corridor and the route plan layout options etc. In-depth and detailedcomparison study includes that: road network constitutes, traffic organization, promotinglocal economic, terrain conditions, engineering quantities, construction investment andenvironmental protection. Finally, plan A is recommended as the choice of this project. Andalso the plan’s engineering and construction scale were preliminarily studied. Furthermore,a preliminary economic analysis was carried out on the recommended plan of the project. |
