The suspension system is an important part of vehicle, whose performance is crucial tothe comfort and handling stability of vehicles. Selection of suspension type and matching ofspring and shock absorber are the main content of the suspension design and the basis toimprove the product performance. According to the present situation of mine dumpersuspension at home and abroad and relevant standards, the large mining dumper suspensionis designed with the basis of automobile theory and automobile design to fulfill theoperating requirement of a manufacturer. The main works of the paper are as follows:Using Adams software to analyze the influence factors of the wheel alignmentparameters, the front and rear suspension hard points and structure are designed. Given themethod of solving Macpherson suspension lever ratio and the wheel alignment parametersvariation is calculated. The spring stiffness and damping characteristics of hydro-pneumatic spring arecalculated. Then, the nonlinear stiffness curve is introduced by the equivalent gas columnheight, and uses it to solve out the spring force. Using the MATLAB/Simulink simulationmethod to solve the nonlinear damping force, the force contains two damping coefficients.According to the literature, the total roll rate of the front and rear suspension is calibrated, and the lateral stable pole is used to make up for the inadequacy of total roll rate. Finally, the vehicle model is established, and the main working conditions aresimulated to analyze the force situation and ride comfort.
