International Thermonuclear Experiment Reactor (ITER) is a machine torealize the controlled nuclear fusion in a way of magnetic confinement. ITERvacuum vessel is a complicated environment with high temperature, vacuumand strong magnetic. In this paper, a solution of high temperature robot armcooling system (HTRACS) is proposed to solve the problem of hightemperature (120℃).With the binocular camera joint, the heat transfer process is exploredbased on theoretical analysis and experiment verification. Then the structureof HTRACS is designed and analyzed to select a reasonable operating point.To reduce self weight of the robot arm, optimum design is executed based onrandom search and finite difference. Cooling control system realizes thefunction of automatic feedback control of pump flow around a working pointbased on the surrounding temperature of devices in robot arm. The functionof parameter monitoring is designed to realize the real-time supervision of HTRACS.At last, conceptual design of binocular camera joint in coupling field isexecuted to explore the solution of robot arm facing the complexenvironment of high temperature、vacuum and strong magnetic.
