Solar energy is inexhaustible and has been applied in engineering both in homeand outside. Currently the system of solar water has been applied widely in China. While for heating system, of which the energy consumption account for45%ofbuilding energy consumption, the use of solar energy is quite limited.Based on the current apply and research on solar heating system in and outside, the study has been presented. Combining with the energy-saving renovation projectlocated in Tianjin University, performance of solar parabolic through collector drivenammonia-water absorption heat pump was studied. This system applied solarparabolic through collector to heating ammonia-water absorption heat pump. By thisway, it could heat buildings in winter.Firstly, the paper analyzed the operation principle of solar parabolic throughcollector and built the model of process of collecting solar energy and heat transfer. And solved the model built by Matlab software. Then the model was verified byexperiments.Secondly, thermodynamic cycle of ammonia-water absorption heat pump wasanalyzed and computed. And the calculation was performed by Matlab software. Theresult was verified by examples in relevant literature.Based on these work above, simulation study of the performance of solarparabolic through collector driven ammonia-water absorption heat pump wasdeveloped. Solar fraction of the system was calculated. And effect of solar radiationintensity, outdoor air temperature, wind speed, flow of heat-transfer medium andtemperature of heat-transfer medium on efficiency of collector has been researched, aswell as influence of heat-transfer medium temperature, and outdoor air temperature. Finally, primary energy utilization rates of systems using three kind of auxiliaryenergy was calculated and compared. This study applied theory support andtechnology accumulation for optimal design and operational optimization of solarparabolic through collector driven ammonia-water absorption heat pump system.
