Urban rail construction has become an important factor in relieving trafficpressure of city road, building a good transportation system and coordinatingharmonious development of the city. Reasonably and scientifically design of urbanrail transit transfer facilities can improve rail transit transfer efficiency, make betterservice, promote the entire transport system structure optimum, then, lead the urbanland development. In this paper, traffic design of urban rail transit transfer facility isstudied.First, this paper summaries the design basis of transfer facilities of city railtraffic, analyses the level of functions about the transfer facilities, and classifiesthem, analyses traffic design system of transfer facilities.Secondly, according to the transfer facilities attracting effect and travelers’traffic choice, classifies the passengers of transfer facilities. Based on theadvantages and disadvantages of aggregate and disaggregate model, using the neuralnetwork toolbox of MATLAB, demarcating and testing model parameters,forecasting the passenger flow by MNL model.Then, the space distribution of transfer facilities in urban rail transit aresummarized, and combined with the traffic organization, the rail transfer of transportand other transport modes (rail transportation, conventional public transit, intercitytransportation etc.) are analyzed, according to the relationship between thepassenger flow and transfer facilities, scaling determination of urban rail transferstation. Also the detailed design of transfer facilities (entrance, pedestrian crossingfacilities, and barrier-free structures) and information service (guide) design areanalyzed.Finally, this paper summarizes the basic principles and theories of traffic designevaluation, establishes the evaluation system, evaluates urban rail transit transferfacility layout, coordination, transfer efficiency, social benefits and other aspects,and establishes the evaluation system, treatment of dimensionless index, calculateswith the mean variance method.
