A Study On Cosplay And The Urban Public Space

The urban public space is the important representation of city’s culture and image, itcarries city’s historical developments and the cultural memories. They usually belong tothe government，under their charge and control，these places are designed by master plaindesigners which be called the formal urban public space. There many problems appearingaccompanied with the fast development of the city. One problem is the short and theinsufficient use of the urban public space，the urban public spaces become lose and dead toa certain extent. Facing the reality，people always to find new places to do their ownpublic activities. These places usually are vacant，rest，bordered，wasted and insufficient.These places become more happy and significant by the people’s improve，change andoccupy which be called the in-formal urban public space. It makes up the short of theformal spaces and inspires the spatial activity. At the same time，the study focused on thein-formal urban public space is rare. Therefore，it has great significance and prospect tostudy the urban public space through the new creative view to study this topic in WuHan.This paper start from the influence of Cosplay’s location shooting to the urban publicspace，based on the information collecting、arranging、analysising and researching of thecase site cases in order to study the cosers’s attitude to the urban public space. Throughthis creative view，to read the relationship between the space’s character and the people’sactivities with the help of the urban sociology methods and the analysis of the story text.On one hand to discus the transform of the formal and in-formal urban public space，onthe other hand to construct the new theory frame base on the study of the silent space andthe active actions. At the same time，accordding to the read of the story script and cosers’ssocial characters，to find some problems about the urban public space. Eventually，touncover the relative problems exist in the modern planning、building and maintaining ofthe urban public space according to the research of the this paper’s topics and provide newsuggestions for the relative study.
