With the increasing depletion of fossil fuels and the increasingly seriousenvironmental problems caused by using traditional fossil fuels,people are constantlylooking for clean renewable energy. Wind power is widely dispersed and has huge reserves.In recent years, large-scale using of wind power technology is increasingly mature. Thewind turbine is the core component of wind power. The aerodynamic performances of windturbine is directly related to the whole process of wind power, efficiency, strength, economyand other issues. Therefore, the research of wind turbine aerodynamic performance plays animportant role. In this paper, the traditional small horizontal axis wind turbine made thedesign of the structure and improvement as follows: The catheter can be concentrated windenergy density and enhances the stability of the flow field; The front guide vane haverecycling part of the rotational kinetic energy so as to promote the role of wind energy useefficiency. Developed based on aerodynamics of wind turbine aerodynamic parametricdesign program, adopt the method of computational fluid dynamics flow field simulation toverify the design method. Specific content is as follows: In the mastery of traditionalhorizontal axis wind turbine basic aerodynamic theory and design method, in view of thesituation of small wind turbine efficiency is generally low, the structure of traditionalhorizontal axis wind turbine design make improvement. Combined with the traditionaldesign theory, design of a wind turbine parameters and to establish the mathematicalrelationship between them. In this design, wind turbine machine structure is divided intothree parts: guide blade area, rotor area and catheter part. Using the matlab language,combined with the function of ANSYS secondary development, to develop wind turbinemachine of3d geometric modeling and meshing parameterized modeling program. Adoptthe method of CFD calculation and analysis to the design of the flow field model, numberof rotor blades, tube shape affect the performance of the machine analysis.
