Recently, the competition between automotive companies increased a lot. Inorder to fulfill the demand of the different customers, expand the market share, all ofthem had changed the production model from lot production to small lot production. All the suppliers for the automotive companies have to change the production modelaccordingly also. Seats production is a typical example for this kind of productionmodel. All the seat products produced in seating assembly line are based on thecustomers’requirements. This model can avoid the weakness of traditional productionline, such as: lack of diversity, individuation. Also this production model can suit thedevelopment demand of modern world economy. So, balancing study, productionoptimization and post-interchange has significant meaning for the productioncompany.Aimed at improving the operating efficiency of automotive seat production line,I will proceed my research in three ways as mentioned below:①Operation improvement study of seat assembly lineThe production efficiency is determined by the longest cycle time of the station, also named bottleneck。 Analyze the process and improve their movements byusing the tools of ECRS, complete the basic works for the optimization of theinternal station.②Next important thing need to do is the optimization between the different process. This requires re-allocation between processes, so that the cycle time between eachprocess can meet each other better.③Construction of the post-interchange organizationEmployees who repeat a same job for too long time may lose passion for the work. Also will effect the working efficiency. In order to solve this kind of problems,post-interchange was studied in this course as a method to solve the problems.
