With the development of domestic shipping industry and the increasingly fiercecompetition in the international shipping market, the more excellent performance ofship maintenance management is desired. Nevertheless, the ship management systemand the ladder of management are relatively lagging behind. The fact that the stilltraditional management mode and the low level of informatization has seriouslyhampered the improvement of engineering management. In terms of ship scheduledmaintenance aspect, there are some advance management modes abroad such asNorwegian TSAR system and some domestic standards and regulations such asCWBT, PMS, etc., for engineering management. The distinctive ship managementsystems and the discrepant levels of technology and management of internal shippingcompanies contribute to the different and specific practice of standards andregulations. In addition, the complicated scheduled maintenance oriented for shiptype and spare parts as well as the high mobility of managerial staff make it moredifficult for engineering management. As a result, in the wave of the policy whichadvocates the vigorously practice and standardization of informatization, the researchof the planned maintenance of standardized modules based on the commonness ofequipment management will help promote the optimization and informatization ofengineering management. It is also crucial for the standardization of ship equipmentmanagement, the improvement of equipment perfectness and the cost reduction ofconducting engineering management. The thesis analyzes the status of ship repair and maintenance systems andgeneral characteristics, proposed standardized system for planned maintenance ofengineering management, and advanced a standardized system of business processesand functions according to collecting and sorting a vast amount of data. And itestablishes a domain model on the basis of ship maintenance management and theimplementation of standardized functions, the thesis verifies the model. The proposedmodel is illustrated by a case study based on the early-warning of business. What’smore, in terms of the functions of planned maintenance management, the thesis putsforward the changing process of the maintenance program based on the results of monitoring the status of equipment and models a predictive maintenance cycle on thebasis of the equipment deterioration degree by methods of linear regression. At thesame time it propounds relevant standardized storage formats and forms. This paper is divided into five parts. Part I is the Introduction. The thesisdescribes the background, current status, content and significance of the study. Part IIrefers to the development of related theory of equipment maintenance, ship repair andmaintenance system. Part III concerns the system of planned and standardized shipmaintenance management, the standardization of business processes, principles andrequirements (data and format) and standardization functions. Aiming at the corebusiness of the ship planned maintenance, Part IV is a in-depth analysis of thebusiness functions by the use of domain modeling approach. Part V puts forward thechanging process of the maintenance program based on the results of monitoring thestatus of equipment and models a predictive maintenance cycle on the basis of theequipment deterioration degree by methods of linear regression. Part VI summarizesthe room for improvement and provides a prospect of further study.
