With the wide application of computer technology in the ship, the marineautomation technology changes rapidly, increasing integration. The marineautomation system has been monitored by conventional instruments, centralizedmonitoring, to the development of the local area network control marine integratedautomation system combined with field bus and industrial Ethernet, which make fulluse of the field bus real-time and deterministic response and the advantages ofEthernet high communication speed and system scalability.The paper focuses on the marine engine room automation systemcommunication network, develop gateway device combined with CAN-bus andindustrial Ethernet, to solve the bottom intelligent device and monitoring host dataexchange, realize the comprehensive monitoring and management of the instrumentand equipment, thus CAN-bus monitoring network consisting of monitoring andmanagement of networks composed of Ethernet integration, to improve theefficiency of ship engine room monitoring system, realize data sharing, improve themonitoring function.In this paper, here are the aspects of the work:1Studies the ethernet and the CAN-bus embedded interconnection gatewayrealization method, in the analysis of thierarchical structure and data transmissionmechanism of CAN-bus and Ethernet, for the marine engine room communicationnetwork function and structure characteristics, based on the theory of the OSIreference model, established the CAN-bus and Ethernet communication model andthe scheme of data exchange.2The hardware circuit design of the device, using infineonXC2267MCU asthe core, which embedded with CAN-bus controller, CTM1050module is the CANtransceiver. Ethernet control unit named ENC28J60which is SPI bus driver, meetthe need of function to achieve as well as the most simplified design. Meanwhilecarries on the disturbance test using the interferometer to the CA-bus, whichconfirms data transmission reliability. 3On the software side, the TCP/IP protocol is realized by the embedded uIPprotocol stack, and the software design including the protocol stack of the layeringstructure and the program flow. CAN protocol is mainly composed of the CANmodule configuration to complete the corresponding packet filling and messagedistribution; finally the design protocol based on the two part of the agreement onthe main program, the main program completed the conversion of data packets.
