In order to change the phenomenon that the Strong column and weak beam causethe Layer to yield when the Frame structure Affected by the earthquake, some scholarshave proposed that control the overall deformation of structure from concept designstage, so as to change the structure failure mechanism. Therefore the concept “Framestructure with rocking wall system” was invented. Through controlling the structurallateral deformation to avoid structural centralized damage caused by earthquakes, toachieve expected damage mechanism and ensure the expected structure seismicperformance, and this is the rocking wall-frame structural system. There are differentways to combine rocking wall with frame structure in engineering and strengthening.The researches on contrasting rocking wall damage mechanism by changing differentconnection types were relatively less, the theories development were immaturity neither.Thus, it has a good growth prospects to find a safe and reliable, economical andreasonable design and strengthening scheme in frame rocking wall structures.In conclusion, the main content of this paper are as follows:(1)Through the shaking table test with a1:8scale-down built-in rocking wall,analyze built-in rocking wall frame structure’s influence on the failure mechanism oforiginal frame structure, evaluate built-in rocking wall frame structure’s influence on theseismic performance of concrete frame structure.(2)In order to explore the influence of structure seismic performance by differentconnection types between rocking wall and frame structure, on the basis of experimentresearch, analyze and compare frame structure model, Frame structure with built-inrocking wall model and frame structure with external rocking wall model usingpushover analytical method by finite element software SAP2000.(3)Take the actual frame structure of engineering project as the model sample,using pushover method to analyze and compare different strengtheningschemes respectively. Including original structure and rocking wall frame structure ofdifferent connections, different laying positions and different arrangement forms.Analyze and study stiffness ratio of two sides of rocking wall and the influence onstructural seismic performance by the different forms of rocking wall layout in primaryand secondary beams.
