Coal gangue is the largest various kinds of industrial waste emissions and coversmost, serious environmental pollution, a solid discarded material, the seriousinfluence to the quality of People’s Daily life, work and health of body and mind. Inthe way of comprehensive utilization of coal gangue, if the coal gangue used assubgrade filling in highway engineering, and will be able to significantly reduce roadland cost, and improve local environmental quality, has obvious technical, economicand ecological benefits. Using coal gangue filling filling subgrade at present the mainproblem is the guarantee its stability, and its stability depends on the final settlementof subgrade is within the scope of the specification requirements. Therefore, coalgangue filling roadbed of final settlement prediction analysis problems become to besolved urgently.This paper analyzes the classification and engineering properties of coal gangue,found that natural coal gangue is obvious grain size distribution of the defect, but thecompaction process would lead to broken bulky particle rearrangement, decrease theporosity of the coal gangue ratio, eventually make the structure more closely, morestable subgrade; Coal gangue of oxide such as calcium, magnesium, aluminum,silicon and small amounts of alkali, such as the occur with lime series of hydrationreaction to produce high strength, effectively reduce the embankment settlement.Reference some engineering data, this paper chooses mole-coulomb model, forconstruction of the different thickness of the coal gangue settlement of embankmentrespectively using FLAC software to numerical simulation of the influence of thesubgrade settlement. Results showed that with the increase of embankment height,vertical settlement of subgrade decrease gradually increased, the stress changes little;When subgrade height is more than10m, the largest settlement for more than20cm,in the gangue subgrade should be considered when the design, construction andmaintenance, provide theoretical reference for coal gangue reserved subgradesettlement. Coal gangue roadbed construction technology study finally, the paperanalyzes the coal gangue roadbed technology, economic and ecological benefits.
