Seismic Vulnerability Analysis Of Two Adjacent Structures Connected By Maxwell Models

In the past earthquake disaster survey, Adjacent structure under earthquake causedamage and even the whole collapse, cause the extensive concern of scholars. Economicdevelopment makes the urban population more and more intensive, the distance betweenbuildings is more and more small, collision damage may occur between adjacentstructures and cause significant loss under earthquake. So it is necessary to take effectivemeasures to reduce the earthquake response of the adjacent structures, related researchhave the important practical significance. In this paper, the seismic vulnerability ofadjacent structure connected with Maxwell damper are analyzed, put forward the rationaluse of Maxwell damper for vibration control of adjacent structures. The research contentis as follows:(1) Using PKPM set up two models respectively, structure reinforcement, constantload and live load are obtained, then use OpenSees establish ten to eight adjacentstructure model.(2) Select different DM parameters for ten to eight adjacent structure of incrementaldynamic analysis, get IDA curves, and show that seismic response of10-8adjacentstructure changes greatly with the different DM parameter, but Maxwell damper canenhance the elastic stability of the structure.(3) Analysis the seismic vulnerability of10-8adjacent structure, compared theseismic performance of adjacent structures in Maxwell damper control and without thedamper control, it is concluded that viscous dampers effect good between adjacentstructures under the action of the earthquake.(4) Establish10-6adjacent structure and10-4adjacent structure model respectively,then analyze the seismic vulnerability comparing with10-8adjacent structure, show thatcontrol effect of Maxwell viscous dampers for the adjacent structure is influenced by thelayer number.
