With the economic and social development of the city,the per capita area gradually reduced,leading to the modern city building more and more dense,closely spaced buildings to prevent collision under strong earthquake and improve the seismic performance of these buildings,the concept of modern structural control,the control device to connect the adjacent buildings has emerged.A lot of scholars have studied the energy dissipation and damping of viscous dampers connecting adjacent structures.In this paper,two step optimization method is used to combine theory with practice.First of all,as a kind of effective control element,viscous damper has been proved by many scholars that it has good damping effect.The key to the damping design of viscous dampers connecting adjacent structures is the determination of the damper parameters.Therefore,studied the design parameter optimization formula connecting damper.Secondly,the seismic response of the main structure and substructure can obtain good damping effect,which not only needs the damper to select the reasonable damping parameter,but also relates to the position and number of the dampers.Therefore,this paper studies the problem of optimal layout under earthquake action to connect two adjacent structures of the viscous damper.Finally,the damping properties of viscous dampers connecting adjacent structures of the two step optimum design of engineering case was simulated and analyzed in the structure of the control effect on the seismic response of damper elastic and elastic-plastic state.
