With the development of Fuxin region economy, the users require more andmore high to the power supply reliability. At the same time, according to Fuxinpower grid "twelfth five-year" plan forecast, the load in2012-2015will grow about300MW, and the biggest users of new load is as follows: the coal gas project in thecoal gas industrial park of Datang international in Liaoning Fuxin, according to thepower load data provided by the Datang international, the coal gas project needsnormally about170MW power load. According to the regional balance of power, the area substation can not meet the requirement of the load, in order to alleviate thepressure of the load, at the same time, improve the regional power grid safety andreliability, there needs to build the220kV coal gasification substation. This paper first discusses the address of the site selection, consideringmeteorological and hydrological, the site address condition and the transportation isconvenient, etc., to verify the rationality of site selection.Secondly, introduces anew technology, equipment and application of intelligent substation, intelligentswitch equipment including transformer, intelligent, electronic transformertechnology. Also introduces the key technology of intelligent two times in smartsubstation. Intelligent substation blurs the boundary between one and twoequipment, increased by one or two times of continuous integration, and throughthe network to realize information sharing. Finally, meeting the environmentalprotection requirements, it discusses from the aspects of energy saving, environmental protection, disaster relief has carried on the further discussion, illustrates the feasibility of the substation design.
