With the rapid development of China’s urbanization and economy, more and more efficient, convenient, the construction technology of environmental protection has gradually been recognized in the field of engineering, steel sheet pile and its construction method in many important projects, such as terminal, retaining walls, levees and other permanent structures and flood flow, pier cofferdam, flood etc. temporary structures are also widely applied. In the course of work, steel sheet pile wall bear the lateral load, and cause bending deformation. Because the steel sheet pile cofferdam has maintained a high level of lateral wave, the steel sheet pile cofferdam may cause water seepage, and generate larger deformation, which will result difficulties in construction, and even lead to engineering accident. It is necessary to study the sealing performance and structure calculation of the steel sheet pile lock.On the base of collection literatures about research at home and abroad, combined with the indoor water test and Bridge20#steel sheet pile cofferdam engineering in Xu-Ming highway Express Dinghuai River, the following research has been work completed:(1) The steel sheet pile cofferdam sealing performance test, analysis of no sealing material, the asphalt and expansion sealing effect of sealing material three conditions, and discusses the key points of construction waterproof material.(2) According to the calculation principle of steel sheet pile cofferdam, structural design method of steel sheet pile cofferdam are analyzed; The steel plate pile cofferdam project, namely cofferdam design for top-down were arranged seven annular steel purlin;(3) Combined with Bridge20#steel sheet pile cofferdam engineering in Xu-Ming highway Express Dinghuai River, structural deformation the steel cofferdam structure stability and safety factor are calculated. According to the characteristics of steel sheet pile cofferdam, the construction and monitoring scheme has been made.
