Aimed at various parameters of electric vehicle driven by hub motors, this paper researches the XCP (Universal Calibration Protocol) calibration system based on the FlexRay. The FlexRay is a new generation network for it’s fast, flexible, reliable and tolerant for fault, and it has so many other characteristics that other network doesn’t have. The XCP is a universal measurement and calibration protocol, it makes the calibration software developed by engineers has the value of versatility and portability.Firstly, the FlexRay and the XCP are studied in this paper, and respectively they are compared with the CAN and the CCP. Then, an overall design of the calibration system is given in this paper. The overall design is divided into four parts:the functional requirements analysis, the calibration parameters definition, the overall scheme design, the hardware and the software design of this calibration system. At the same time, the Intrepid EVB interface card is selected as the FlexRay interface card. Secondly, the underlying communication driver of the ECU is developed in this paper and it includes two parts——the FlexRay driver and the XCP-on-FlexRay driver. After the selection of the TC1767as the core controller, the CIC310is selected as the communication controller (CC) and the TJA1080is selected as the bus driver (BD). Through the software interface——dynamic link libraries provided by the Intrepid EVB interface card, the method of call library function node in Lab VIEW is used in this paper and it realizes the function of starting the FlexRay node in the network. At the same time, the interface of this calibration system is designed in Lab VIEW. Finally, a verification test of the calibration system is carried on in this paper under two communication mode: Polling and DAQ. Through the verification test, the calibration system passes the XCP driver test and completes the functional testing of monitoring and calibrating.
