The problem of slope stability is the key technical problem in the eild of the trafficengineering construction. The traditional methods of slope monitoring can not fit therequirements.Low measurement precision, single parameter, poor automation and soon.As the GPS have the advantages of high precision, fast speed,all-weather,it becomesthe hot spot in the slope monitoring.Aiming at the problems existing in the slopemonitoring method,we put forward multisource monitoring method based on GPS to buildthe field monitoring unit,to build data communications unit using GPRS,to build controlsystem for the data store, analysis and disaster warning. The main research work is:(1) In the selection of monitoring items,Through the analysis of regional geologicalstructure, lithologic characteristics of slope, morphological parameters of the slope, it isconcluded that the main factors influencing the slope stability, in view of the existingmonitoring technology to determine the applicable monitoring project.(2) Taken consideration into the deviation of GPS and the result of the different locatemode,we use the improved RTK to improve the monitoring data accuracy and responsetime.(3) We use GPS, earth pressure meter and osmometer to get the data ofdisplacement, stress, interstitial water pressure. It provide comprehensive data source foranalysis of slope stability.(4) The monitoring system build regression model to match the curve of displacement-time,Stress-time.It can analyze the variation trend of slope and provide reasonablecriterion to forecast the slope stability.
