The holder of Noodle Rod Machine is mainly used for supporting and connecting,meanwhile, it also needs to bear various kinds of force and moment transmitted to it, becauseit is the twist device which supports reducer the holder that offers power, and depends on themesh of bevel gear to transmit power during the transmission process. Therefore, it is to beensure that the holder have adequate strength and stiffness, especially for the stiffness. Forthat reason, this article analyses the finite element solution by RADIOSS to, and improvesstructure of the weak part, then conducts topological optimization physical design of theholder after improvement by OptiStruct.The research contents mainly about the following:1. Introduce the development situation of optimization technique and the problems metduring the research and development process, research fields of the article is ensured. At thesame time, gives brief introduction to finite element method and elastic mechanics, and offerstheoretical basis to subsequent solution analysis.2. Finite element static analysis of the holders on Noodle Rod Machine are conducted,under the effect of gravity of knead mechanism and twist mechanism, holder stressdistribution cloud picture and stain distribution cloud picture. In the meantime, conductingmodal analysis of holders, the inherent frequency and mode of vibration are obtained; thedynamic behaviors are also assessed.3. Optimized analysis is conducted on initial holder model by topological optimizationtechnique OptiStruct, the objective function varies with the increase of iterations, influence ondensity cloud given by different constraint displacement and different threshold values on theholder material distributions are studied.4. Geometric model established by OSSmooth is redesigned in SOLIDWORKS, andthen makes strength analysis with the new model. Compared with the original design model,finding that stiffness, strength, weight are all superior to the old one, indicating that thescheme is effective.5. Analyzing topological optimization of the model under volume mesh, comparing withthe results on topological optimization of the surface cell, we can concluded that the analysisresult of topological optimization volume mesh can be used in liquid state forming process,making prior explore for conducting foundry technology in the future.By the analysis above, we can know much more comprehensive character about thestructure of the Noodle Rod Machine, offers more reliable experience for the designafterwards. After this design thought put into use, it can effectively reduce production costs,lower the time of research and development, and enhance the market competitiveness of thisproduct.
