The culvert is widely used in railway,highway,irrigation,energy, municipal and metallurgy and other departments, it is an important part of railway engineering and highway engineering. Research on the soil pressure variation of culvert has an important value and significance to the construction of culvert. At present, the study on the soil pressure of culverts is not perfect in our country, the different methods for the numerical difference is very big, so lead to the construction of building material waste, and possibly due to the unreasonable cause engineering accident, serious influence to the construction of culverts in our country, with the rapid development of economy in our country, the construction of the culvert in engineering construction is getting more and more frequent, research to determine the soil pressure on the culvert is imminent.In this article,by using the finite element software of ANSYS, the soil pressure of trench buried box culvert and fill soil arching effect simulation research on the line, analyzed the change law of soil arching effect and soil pressure under different conditions of soil, and the use of the comparative analysis of the results of numerical analysis simulation test in the literature verify the reliability of ANSYS in the operation. This article’s main research results are as follows:1. Ditch buried box culvert (groove width is five times the number of culvert width) is the vertical earth pressure of the center of the minimum value at the top of the culvert, as far away from the top of culvert center, the vertical earth pressure value increases gradually, until0.45D from the centerline of the culvert when the location of the vertical earth pressure peak. The maximum lateral earth pressure near the location of the distance to the top of culvert0.2D, the size of the lateral earth pressure does not change along with the height of filling.2. Without considering culvert on the function of soil, soil inside small principal stress trajectory for a catenary, through Mohr stress circle, analysis of any differential element stress about soil arch, according to its boundary conditions get ditch buried box culvert regardless of culvert of small primary stress arch curve equation, when the friction angle and friction coefficient is larger, the smaller the curvature of the arch, flatten out gradually. According to the arch curve of small primary stress, further find out the lateral earth pressure coefficient, the average stress and the vertical soil lateral earth pressure.3. With the plane of equal settlement and culvert top plane boundaries, the distribution of the soil arch is divided into three regions. Within the area Ⅰ, along with the rising of the groove width, soil arch curvature decreases. With the increase of Angle of internal friction, the soil arch curvature decreases. With the increase of groove and the friction coefficient of soil, the soil arch curvature decreases. With the increase of cohesive force, the soil arch curvature increases gradually.Within the area Ⅱ, along with the increase of groove width within the soil arch curvature decrease gradually, with the increase of Angle of internal friction, the soil arch curvature decreases. With the increase of groove and the friction coefficient of soil, the soil arch curvature decreases. With the increase of cohesive force, the soil arch curvature increases gradually.Within the area Ⅲ,along with the increasing of the width of the groove, the soil column within the soil arch effect obvious enhancement, the curvature of the soil arching gradually increases, including soil column on both sides of the soil, the soil arch of curvature decreases continuously with the increase of the width of the groove. When the Angle of internal friction of soil, the soil column within the soil arch curvature increases, then the column on both sides of the soil, the soil arch curvature and decreases as the Angle of internal friction. When the groove of the friction coefficient increases with the soil, the soil column within the soil arch of curvature and has no obvious change, and soil column within the lateral soil in soil arch curvature decreases with the increase of friction coefficient. When increase the cohesive force, the curvature of the soil column internal soil arch and soil column within the lateral soil soil arching within the curvature are increasing trend.Due to the compression deformation of culvert roof, caused by the deflection in soil column soil within the soil arch effect. Along with the increase of thickness of culvert roof, the soil arch curvature of culvert top soil within decreases gradually.
