The development of solar power is the need ofnational energy construction, implementing the strategy of sustainabledevelopment. Therefore, research on grid-connected photovoltaic powergeneration system has the important theoretical significance and practical value[1]. In this paper,50MWp grid-connected photovoltaic power generation systemis taken as the research object, first introduced the principle of photovoltaicpower generation and application, and analyses the solar energy resources andsite conditions; through a variety of solar module type selection, installationand operation mode selection, grid connected inverter selection, the design ofsolar photovoltaic power generation system and calculation of theoreticalelectric energy is calculated; Based on the design and review of photovoltaicpower plant grid connection scheme, principal and secondary electrical part,communication part and fire protection design completed. Investment estimateand benefit, and the social effect of grid connected photovoltaic power stationare analyzed. Construction photovoltaic power plant instead of coal-fired powerplant can make full use of renewable energy, save non-renewable fossilresources, and will greatly reduce the pollution of the environment, also cansave a large amount of freshwater resources, have a positive effect on theimprovement of the atmospheric environment.
